Landscaping quoting software for beds, plants and sod

Price install work from your own rates for area, material and plants, with add ons the customer can choose before signing.

Landscape installs are part measurement and part wish list. ZoloBid prices the measured work from your rates and lets the customer add the extras themselves.

How landscapers price an install

Landscape installs mix three kinds of pricing on one quote. Area work, like mulch, stone and sod, is priced by the square foot or the cubic yard. Plants are priced by the piece and size. Labor for prep, edging and cleanup is priced by the hour or built into the unit price.

Depth is where material math goes wrong. Mulch at three inches takes about one cubic yard for every 100 square feet. Guess the depth wrong and the truck comes back for another load on your dime. Sod is ordered by the square foot or pallet, with extra for cuts along curved beds.

Then there is what leaves the site. Old shrubs, sod and debris have to go somewhere, and dump fees are real. Delivery charges for bulk material belong on the quote too. Many landscapers also offer a plant warranty, which should be written down with its terms.

What belongs on a landscaping quote

A quote the customer can read line by line gets signed faster and argued about less.

  • Bed area and what goes in it: mulch, stone or soil
  • Plants by size and count
  • Sod area
  • Bed prep and edging
  • Removal of old plants or sod
  • Delivery and haul away
  • Irrigation or lighting as options
  • Plant warranty terms and deposit

Priced the way you already think

Answer a few questions on site and your own pricing rules turn them into lines:

  • Bed area
  • Mulch or stone
  • Plants
  • Sod
  • Haul away

Start from our ready made "Landscaping" setup, then put in your own numbers. Nothing quotes until you confirm each rule.

ZoloBid never sets your prices. The rates, minimums and markups are yours.

What slows a landscaping quote down

  • Scope creep at the walkthrough

Every extra the customer mentions needs a price, and it rarely makes it onto paper.

  • Plant counts by memory

Guessing quantities back at the office leads to short orders and return trips.

  • One price, take it or leave it

Without options, the customer either accepts everything or shops around.

Questions landscaping owners ask

Can I price by area and by item on the same quote?

Yes. Use square feet for beds and sod, yards for mulch, and a count for plants, all in one quote.

Can customers add extras themselves?

Yes. Optional lines let them tick lighting, extra plants or haul away and watch the total update.

Does it keep track of the customer after the job?

Yes. Contacts, projects, quotes and invoices stay together so repeat work is easy to quote.

Can I price mulch by the yard from square feet?

Yes. A formula in your rule turns area and depth into yards.

Can one quote have plants by the piece and sod by the foot?

Yes. Every line can use its own unit.

Can I sell a maintenance plan after the install?

Yes. Service plans with repeat visits can be offered to the same customer.

Can the customer remove items to hit a budget?

Offer them as options and the customer keeps only what they want.
