Terms of Service

Last updated October 1, 2026

The plain version: try it free, pay monthly or yearly on autopay, cancel any time, your data stays yours. The details are below. Version 2026-10-09.

1. Who we are and who these terms cover

ZoloBid is operated by Chad Wood, doing business as ZoloBid, in South Carolina ("ZoloBid", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between us and the business that creates a ZoloBid account ("you"). The person who signs up confirms they are at least 18 and allowed to accept these terms for that business.

ZoloBid is a business tool. It is sold to trade and service businesses, not to consumers for personal use.

2. Your account

Keep your login private. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by team members you invite. Tell us right away at ops@zolobid.com if you think someone got into your account.

Give us accurate information about your business and keep it current.

3. Free trial

New companies get a free trial. No card is needed to start. The trial length is shown when you sign up. When it ends, you need a paid plan to keep creating and sending quotes and invoices. You can still log in and see your data.

One free trial per business.

4. Price, billing, and taxes

The current price is shown on the pricing page and in Settings, Billing. Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars, through Stripe. A yearly plan costs 10 months for 12 months of use. Extra seats and add ons are billed at their full rate on either plan.

Every paid plan is on automatic payment. You keep a working card or bank account on file, and you authorize us to charge it each month, or each year on a yearly plan, until you cancel. There is no pay by invoice option.

If we change the price, we will email the account owner at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. You can cancel before then.

If a payment fails, we will try again and let you know. If it stays unpaid, your account goes into view only mode until it is paid. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

5. Cancelling

Cancel any time in Settings, Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you already paid for, and you are not charged again. You can undo the cancellation any time before that date.

Monthly plans: we do not give refunds or credits for partial months, unused time, or unused features, unless the law requires it.

Yearly plans: cancel within 30 days of the yearly charge and we refund it in full. After 30 days, we refund the full months left in your year, up to 3 months, and the rest of the year is not refunded. Email ops@zolobid.com to ask. Extra seats and add ons follow the monthly rule.

6. Your data after you cancel

After your paid time ends, your account goes into view only mode for 6 months so you can look things up and export your data. Email ops@zolobid.com and we will send you an export of your contacts, projects, quotes, and invoices.

After those 6 months we delete your account data. We email the account owner before that happens. You can also ask us to delete it sooner. Signed quote records and payment records may be kept longer where we need them for legal, tax, or dispute reasons. Backups roll off on their normal schedule.

7. Your data belongs to you

You own the information you put into ZoloBid, including your customer list, prices, quotes, and photos. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only to run and improve ZoloBid for you. We do not sell it. Our Privacy Policy explains more.

8. Your customers

When you use ZoloBid to send quotes, invoices, and emails to your own customers, you are responsible for that relationship. That includes having the right to contact them, the accuracy of your prices, scopes, and warranties, your licenses and insurance, and following the laws that apply to your trade and your area.

ZoloBid sends those emails on your behalf and shows your company name. Your customers reply to you, not to us.

9. Customer payments

Online payments from your customers go through Stripe Connect into your own Stripe account. To take them, you must accept Stripe’s terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe, not ZoloBid, holds and moves that money.

ZoloBid is not a party to the deal between you and your customer. Refunds, chargebacks, disputes, and Stripe fees are between you, your customer, and Stripe. ZoloBid is not responsible for a payment Stripe declines, holds, or reverses.

ZoloBid Payments fee: when your customer pays through ZoloBid Payments, ZoloBid charges a fee of 0.5% of each payment. Stripe takes it out of that payment and pays it to ZoloBid. It is on top of Stripe’s own processing fees, which Stripe charges you directly. The fee is shown in Settings before you turn payments on. We will email the account owner at least 30 days before changing it.

Your own payment link: if you add a payment link from another provider instead, ZoloBid charges no fee on those payments. ZoloBid cannot see them, so you mark those invoices paid yourself.

10. Roof measurement reports

Roof reports ordered through ZoloBid are measured remotely by an outside provider, from aerial imagery and third party property data. They are estimates, not inspections, surveys, or engineering opinions, and they can differ from what is actually on the roof, for example because of tree cover, image age, roof complexity, or changes to the property.

How you use a report is your choice. ZoloBid does not guarantee that any report is accurate or complete, and ZoloBid is not responsible for material shortages or overages, quotes, lost jobs, extra labor, insurance outcomes, or any other cost or decision that comes from a report.

If a report has mistakes, you can request a revision from the report on the job, or by contacting ZoloBid support at ops@zolobid.com. If a report is drastically off, we will review it for a possible refund of what you paid for that report. A revision or a refund is the most ZoloBid owes for any report.

11. Electronic signatures

Your customers can accept quotes by signing online. For each signature we save the signed document, the signer’s typed name and drawn signature, the date and time, their IP address, and a fingerprint of the document so any later change can be detected. You are responsible for deciding whether an electronic signature fits your situation and local rules.

12. Acceptable use

Do not use ZoloBid to break the law, send spam, mislead customers, upload anything you do not have the right to use, try to get into data that is not yours, overload or attack the service, or copy or resell ZoloBid. We can suspend an account that does these things, and we will tell you why when we can.

13. Our service

We work to keep ZoloBid running and your data safe, but ZoloBid is provided as is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may add, change, or remove features. If we remove something you rely on in a big way, we will tell you ahead of time.

ZoloBid is software. It does not give legal, tax, or financial advice, and prices or measurements it helps you calculate are yours to check before you send them.

14. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, ZoloBid is not liable for lost profits, lost jobs, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim about ZoloBid is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to cover ZoloBid for claims made by your customers or others that come from your work, your quotes, your use of ZoloBid, or your breaking these terms.

15. Ending the agreement

You can stop using ZoloBid and cancel at any time. We can end or suspend your account if you seriously break these terms or do not pay. If we decide to shut down ZoloBid entirely, we will give at least 60 days notice and a way to export your data.

16. Changes to these terms

If we make a meaningful change, we will email the account owner and update the date at the top at least 30 days before it applies. Using ZoloBid after that means you accept the new terms.

17. Law and disputes

South Carolina law governs these terms. Before filing anything, email ops@zolobid.com and give us 30 days to try to fix it. Any case goes to the state or federal courts in South Carolina, or to small claims court where it qualifies.
